My name is J.P. Flores and I was born and raised in Racine, WI. I currently reside in Kenosha, WI. I've been married to my wife Ana for 10 years and we have one son who is 16. After graduating high school I attended college for about a year. I left college and pursued a career as a Correctional Officer for the state of Wisconsin. At the age of 26 I enlisted in the U.S Marine Corp and served 6 years honorably with one tour to Afghanistan in 2010. Two years after I came home I decided to leave my position as a Correctional Officer to pursue a higher level of education.
In May of 2017 I graduated from Carthage College with a B.A. in Graphic Design and a minor in Communications. I have an interest in one day having my own apparel and photography business. If I score a sweet gig with a company then I will pursue it during my free time. Aaron Draplin is one of my favorite designers not only because he does good work but I also admire the content of his character. "Do good work for good people." and "Don't forget about the little man!" Those words speak a lot about my own vision for successful design. I like to remind myself that I am designing for real people and it is not just about the paycheck.
I love hanging out with family and serving my community where I live. In my free time I like to play my acoustic guitar, watch my local sports teams, cook on the grill and spend time with my wife and son. I am a life member VFW Post 1865 here in Kenosha. I also belong to the VFW Riders Group and really love to ride my Harley. On really nice days its hard to decide whether I want to ride my Harley, go fishing or play a round of golf. Summers do not last long around here so I try to enjoy local festivals, car shows and flea markets.
